Something in Between: Dance performance as part of the exhibition "Heavy Steps"

On Sunday, 13 September 2026, the dance performance "Something in Between" will take place in the annexe of the LernWerk. The performance by Melanie López López and Ricardo Campos Freire focuses on the concept of space and time and explores the significance of sharing the same physical space at the same time as another person. The dancers explore how the environment influences their bodies in motion and how space unfolds in interaction with time.

In dialogue with the exhibition "Heavy Steps: Stories of Flight and New Beginnings", this dance performance traces the paths of departure, transitions and encounters. Echoing selected works from the exhibition, "Something in Between" explores the vulnerability and strength of human connection, the possibility of a new beginning, and the relationships that arise from the experience of space and time.

The dance performance is supported by our partner, the LWL Freie-Szene-Fonds. The performances begin at 3.00 pm and 4.30 pm; the accompanying guided tours of the exhibition take place at 1.30 pm and 5.30 pm. No booking is required for the performance.
