Bocholt recycling centre closes earlier

Due to the current weather conditions, the City of Bocholt's Waste Management and Services Department (ESB) is temporarily adjusting the opening hours of the recycling centre. From Wednesday 24 June up to and including Friday 26 June 2026, the facility on Schaffeldstraße will close at 3.00 pm. This measure has been taken due to the high temperatures forecast for the coming days.

With this decision, ESB is responding to the expected heatwave in order to protect the health of the public and of staff working on the site. As the asphalt surfaces at the recycling centre cause particularly high temperatures, operations will be suspended in the late afternoon.

This arrangement applies exclusively to the three working days of the current calendar week. On Saturday, 27 June 2026, the recycling centre will be open to the public during its regular Saturday opening hours from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm.
