Travelling to the venue and parking: please be considerate of local residents
""We would like to ask all visitors from outside the area who have to travel by car to use the designated car parks around Bocholt's Aasee and to be considerate of local residents"," said Anna Schmitz, a member of the town's marketing team. "The roads and the residential area behind Bocholt's Badebucht are very narrow, and there have been problems with illegally parked cars at previous events",
Schmitz added.
To keep the housing estate and the driveways of Aasee residents clear, the town's marketing department recommends the following nearby car parks:
- At the Aasee Bocholt leisure centre, Hochfeldstraße 56b
- Uhlandstraße 50, next to the LWL Textile Museum
- Im Königsesch 5, near McDonald's
- Im Königsesch 39, next to the Kneipp Association
- Park & Ride car park at Am Ostring
Please ensure all bicycles are parked in the large car park directly behind the swimming area on Hohenhorster Straße, and not left haphazardly around the festival entrances.
For the first time this year, the festival will be fenced off. Entry is free for visitors. One rucksack or bag per person is permitted, containing a maximum of 1 litre of drinks (NO glass!) and snacks, as well as a picnic blanket. Baby food is, of course, also allowed.
More highlights from the festival
Great food trucks and delicious drinks
On all three days of the festival, guests can look forward to a range of delicious culinary treats, such as pizza, snacks, crêpes and poffertjes, sweets, cocktails and much more. "We urge all visitors to dispose of rubbish of any kind in the bins provided and not simply to leave it lying around in the picnic areas or on the grass!", Kerstin Schmitt hopes that people will treat the public leisure area with respect, which unfortunately hasn't always been the case in the past.
At the Bocholt Strandcafé, festival-goers will be thoroughly entertained by the band "TREAD 4.0%$, who will captivate the audience with their acoustic sound and a unique blend of acoustic melodies and rousing entertainment.
On Family Day on Sunday, non-alcoholic drinks will be offered at a reduced price to enable as many families as possible to enjoy a wonderful festival experience.
And there's even more on the programme…
