Bocholt Wine Festival

The opening is on Friday, 24 July at 5 pm by the mayor Christian Mangen, wine queen Mona I and city marketing manager Ludger Dieckhues.

Opening hours at the wine festival:

Friday, 24 July: 5.00-01.00 p.m.
Saturday, 25 July: 12.00-01.00 hrs
Sunday, 26 July: 12.00-21.00 hrs

Three days of summer, Palatinate wine and a relaxed atmosphere: from 24 to 26 July, the Bocholt Wine Festival invites you to enjoy a delightful summer weekend, with St. Georg's Square being transformed into an atmospheric wine village for the 30th time.

Eight Palatinate winegrowers, culinary specialities and live music on St Georg's Square make the Wine Festival a meeting place for connoisseurs from Bocholt and the surrounding region.

New for 2026: More space, more enjoyment, more wine festival

The Bocholt Wine Festival is expanding to mark its 30th anniversary

The event area is being extended towards the Ravardi district, offering even more space to relax and enjoy yourself.

Look forward to eight Palatinate winemakers, including two new wineries: Weinhaus Lammering is taking over from the long-standing Hörner winery, which has retired. The Ludwig Eberley winery is also joining the wine festival, further enriching the line-up.

There are new culinary additions too: alongside tarte flambée and snacks, Tapavino will be serving Mediterranean tapas for even more enjoyment. An additional toilet trailer rounds off the expansion and ensures greater comfort.

Programme:

Friday, 24 July from 5 pm
5 pm - Official opening by Mayor Christian Mangen, Wine Queen Mona I and Ludger Dieckhues from Bocholt City Marketing. The Sporker Musikanten will provide the entertainment this evening.

Saturday, 25 July from 12 noon
McKing Music will get the party started from 5.00 pm.

Sunday, 26 July from 12 noon
The duo 'Boogie & more' will provide background music from 2.30 pm.

A particular highlight of the Bocholt Wine Festival is the ceremonial coronation of the new Bocholt Wine Queen or Bocholt Wine King. Anyone who particularly loves the wine festival and would like to try their luck can easily take part.

Entry forms are available at all wine stalls up to and including Saturday 25 July. The draw and the ceremonial coronation will take place on Sunday 26 July at 6 pm on St Georg's Square.

The crowning ceremony will be conducted by Ludger Dieckhues, Managing Director of Stadtmarketing, together with the reigning Wine Queen, Mona I.
