Since 2012, the 'Küchenmeister' from the Ruhr region have been working their magic on the complex, ingenious and sometimes delightfully daft music of Frank Zappa. Their first concert took place in 2012, and the following year brought their big breakthrough: the Zappanale 2013! And now, 12 years and 50 concerts later, they're showing just what a proper Ruhr Valley kitchen can conjure up. With a brass section, marimba and vibraphone, as well as polyphonic vocals, The Dangerous Kitchen deliver an incredibly rousing live experience that delights more than just Zappa fans. In their tribute, they don't shy away from spicing up Zappa's pieces with their own creativity; they've recently developed a love for the theatrical, and current events in the land of the brave and the free provide plenty of inspiration for this... And "Die Küche" have it all in their repertoire. The nine musicians deliver everything Zappa has to offer, from rock tracks with mass appeal to the most intricate fusion avant-garde. On tour, the lads have a penchant for unusual venues and hidden gems on the German concert scene: a hairdressing salon, a deconsecrated church, a back courtyard in Gelsenkirchen-Ückendorf, a gig combined with a brewery tour… the crazier, the better. The Dangerous Kitchen" bring immense enthusiasm and a passion for stylistic detail to the table - with plenty of oomph!
