Advance ticket sales for the senior citizens' afternoon at the Bocholt fair are now open

Advance ticket sales start on Monday, 21 September 2026

Bocholt. When the third weekend in October finally rolls round and it's time for "Bocholt Fair!%$, the traditional Seniors' Afternoon is, of course, a must. On Friday 16 October 2026, everyone will come together at the Schumacher Stand XXL to celebrate, sing and laugh.

"The seniors' afternoon is simply part and parcel of the Bocholt Fair. We're delighted by the great response every year - and places are usually snapped up very quickly", says Markus Kock, fair organiser at Stadtmarketing Bocholt.

A convivial fair afternoon with music and cake
It all kicks off at 3.00 pm, with doors opening from 2.30 pm. Until 5.00 pm, the Schumacher Stand XXL will host a varied programme, delicious cakes, coffee and, of course, plenty of music.

This year, the Lustigen Egerländer, the singing trucker Winni Biermann and the Barlo Local History Society - who'll be performing an entertaining piece in "Platt" - will be ensuring a great atmosphere.
In short: it'll be musical, cosy and definitely not boring.

. If you'd like to come along, it's best to secure a ticket early. Advance sales start on Monday, 21 September 2026.

The admission price includes two cups of coffee and a slice of cake. Advance sales will run up to and including Thursday 15 October, provided the event does not sell out before then. For anyone who would like to attend at short notice - and provided there are still tickets available - the box office will open on 16 October from 2.30 pm. Tickets will cost €10.00 at the box office.
