FW Bocholt: Comradeship evening of the Bocholt fire brigade - numerous honours for many years of voluntary work
FW Bocholt (ots) -
The Bocholt fire brigade traditionally accompanied the St Martin's procession in Bocholt city centre on Monday and ensured that the event ran safely. Following the operation, the members of the emergency and honour squad met for the annual camaraderie evening.
The focus of the evening was on recognising many years of commitment to the Bocholt fire service. In a festive setting, the head of the fire brigade, Dirk Arping, presented certificates of honour to deserving members of the fire brigade.
The following honours were presented:
Jan Horstmann and Sven Weikamp were honoured for 10 years of membership.
Achim Tewiße, Ulf Tacke and Michael Burhoff were awarded the silver fire service badge of honour for 25 years of active membership.
The Fire Brigade Decoration of Honour in Gold for 35 years of active membership was awarded to Jens Diesfeld and Martin Hirschfelder.
Torsten Dekker was honoured for 40 years of membership.
Manfred Böing was honoured for 50 years of membership.
Werner Büdding and Franz Gießing were honoured for 65 years of membership.
Heinz Frieling was honoured for 70 years of membership.
The following colleagues were also honoured for their participation in the Borken district fire brigade performance competition:
Tom Bißlich (1st participation),
Hendrik Nienhaus (2nd participation),
Sarah Winter and Alexander Spoor (4th participation),
Tobias Siecksmeier (5th participation),
Chantal Tielmann (6th participation),
Christian Dekker (8th participation),
Franz-Josef Lütkenhorst (41st participation),
Thomas Enk (47th participation).
In addition to the honours, colleagues Hans-Bernd Schlenter and Jürgen Uebbing were transferred from active service to the honorary department.
Following the official part of the event, the comrades rounded off the evening in a convivial atmosphere.
