Easter holiday programme with book flea market in the city library
During the Easter holidays, the city library is once again offering a holiday programme for children this year. There will also be a book flea market in the entrance hall.
From 31 March to 11 April, the city library is offering two events during the Easter holidays. Children aged 6 and over can once again look forward to a colourful holiday programme with creative activities. There will also be a book flea market in the entrance hall during opening hours, where anyone interested can pick up discarded media for a donation.
During the Easter holidays, there are once again many exciting holiday activities on offer at the city library. From 30 March to 10 April, various workshops for children aged 6 and over will be offered as part of the holiday programme. In addition, the spring book flea market will take place for the fourth time during this period, where all bookworms can go on a treasure hunt. "The combination of the workshops and the book flea market is a great thing for us", says Melanie Tenhumberg, head of the city library. "This is our way of inviting both children and adults to discover the library's various offers during the holidays."
Holiday programme with creative activities, programming games and gaming
The City Library team has once again put together a colourful programme for the Easter holidays to sweeten the school holidays with creative events for all children. Whether it's the captivating holiday cinema, exciting programming games with the elephant or the Intelino train, as well as various creative activities such as macramé or cup painting. There is something for all ages and all tastes! Participation in the events in the city library's holiday programme is free of charge. Anyone interested can register via the city library's booking portal.
Book flea market in the entrance hall
Together with the holiday programme, a book flea market will be held in the entrance hall of the city library from 30 March to 11 April. Anyone interested will have the opportunity to browse through the old stock and take home books in good condition for a donation. This time, novels of various genres, non-fiction books on topics such as hobbies and society as well as various books for children and young people are on offer.
The flea market is open during the opening hours of the city library and donations can be handed in at the library's lending desk. This year, the proceeds from the flea market will go to the Gerburgis mother and child centre in Bocholt.
