Road repairs on the K 1

Roadworks are taking place on the K 1 district road between Franzstraße and Büngerner Allee. As a result, the section between the Würth premises and the roundabout is expected to be completely closed from 19 to 30 October 2026. Diversions will be put in place for cars and cyclists.

As part of a major resurfacing project, the carriageway of the K 1 in Section 9, Franzstraße/Büngerner Allee, is being resurfaced. The section affected is between the Würth premises and the roundabout. Whilst the work is in progress, this section of the K 1 will be closed to through traffic. The footpath and cycle path running to the west of the carriageway will also be closed during the works. Local traffic will still be permitted.

Appropriate diversions will be put in place for motorists and cyclists. Road users are asked to avoid the closed area and to follow the diversion signs.

Work is expected to begin on Monday 19 October and is scheduled to be completed by Friday 30 October 2026.
