25-year service anniversary: Gunnar Jungkamp celebrates with the city of Bocholt

On 1 April 2026, Gunnar Jungkamp celebrates his 25th anniversary with the city of Bocholt. The qualified social worker can look back on a varied career in the Youth and Family department. He is currently working as an official guardian with great commitment to the interests of children and young people.

On 1 April 2000, the Rhede-born graduate social worker began his year of recognition in the City of Bocholt's foster children's service. One year later, he took up regular employment as a social worker. After moving to the social and educational services in October 2005, he looked after juvenile offenders for many years as part of the juvenile court assistance programme. Parallel to his professional work in administration, he completed the then Employee Training Course II between 2010 and 2012 and successfully graduated as an administrative specialist.

Since March 2012, he has been working as an official guardian for the city of Bocholt. In this role, he is appointed to act as a guardian and carer for underage children. He acts as a legal representative and is personally committed to looking after the interests of his wards. In addition, as legal guardian, he advises underage mothers on all legal matters concerning the child and provides them with the necessary support.

Among his colleagues, the employee is appreciated for his affirmative, fun-loving nature and his good humour, which he infects those around him with. With broad shoulders, he always has an open ear for his fellow human beings and is happy to help and advise the workforce. In his private life, he and his family are firmly anchored in the Barlo district with all its traditions and are active in a large circle of acquaintances. As a permanent member of the Barlo men's dance group "The Schüppendales", he performs on stage during carnival and supports the Lower Rhine football team in his free time as a football fan. His personal motto "Vom Feinsten" characterises his positive attitude to life in everyday life.
