Solidarity in concrete terms: care products for children and adults are needed
The city of Bocholt is asking citizens for support for the Ukrainian solidarity partner city of Verkhniodniprovsk. Due to the ongoing difficult humanitarian situation, care and hygiene products are urgently needed.
In particular, underpads, bandages and nappies for adults and children are collected. The materials must be new; leftover items are also expressly welcome. Mobility aids in good condition such as rollators and wheelchairs are also welcome.
Donations can be dropped off at the furniture warehouse on Werkstraße
Donations can be handed in on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the furniture warehouse in Bocholt, Werkstraße 19, 46395 Bocholt. Small quantities are also accepted during regular opening hours at the Bocholt Volunteer Agency, Langenbergstraße 18, 46397 Bocholt. In March and April of this year, the city of Bocholt will organise the onward transport to Ukraine in coordination with its partners.
Help for the sick, families and the elderly
"Care and hygiene products in particular are of great importance in the current situation and are only available to a limited extent in many places", emphasises Petra Taubach, European Affairs Officer for the City of Bocholt. Every donation makes an important contribution to supporting families, elderly people and the two local medical facilities.
