As part of the "Women & Work" series, the municipal equal opportunities officers in the Borken district are inviting women to a free online seminar on private pension provision for women. On Tuesday, 9 June 2026, starting at 7 p.m., an expert will provide valuable tips for building up an additional income in old age. Registration for the digital event is now open.
Securing a sufficient financial cushion for retirement increasingly requires personalised private pension provision. As the multitude of offers on the market often seems confusing at first glance, the event offers a structured and easy-to-understand overview of the various options.
The speaker, Barbara Rück, a consultant at the North Rhine-Westphalia Consumer Advice Centre for retirement provision, investments and property financing, will explain the advantages and disadvantages of different forms of investment in a practical way.
The spectrum of options presented ranges from classic bank savings plans to fund savings with equity funds such as ETFs and the critical evaluation of pension insurance policies. Special emphasis is placed on state-subsidised models such as gross deferred compensation via the employer and the Rürup basic pension. In addition, the often controversial Riester subsidisation scheme will be examined in detail in order to provide participants with reliable guidance for existing or planned contracts.
Bocholt's Equal Opportunities Officer Astrid Schupp invites all interested citizens to take advantage of this neutral information programme to actively shape their own financial future in a self-determined way. Participation is free of charge, but requires prior registration. Registrations are only accepted online via the Borken district event portal (click here).
