Vandalism at the Bocholt cemetery on Blücherstraße

An incident of criminal damage took place at the cemetery on Blücherstraße last weekend. Unknown individuals damaged around 15 kerbstones in an urn burial area within the memorial garden. The City of Bocholt is appealing to the public for any relevant information.

Significant acts of vandalism were discovered at the municipal cemetery on Blücherstraße last weekend. In the area of the memorial garden, as yet unidentified individuals damaged around 15 stones forming part of a grave border. The city of Bocholt estimates the damage at several thousand euros. According to current information, the incident took place between 12 noon on Saturday and 10 am on Sunday.

Anyone who observed anything suspicious in the vicinity of the cemetery during the period mentioned, or who can provide information about the incident, is asked to contact the ESB cemetery administration on (02871) 963-3408. The relevant waste management and services department of the City of Bocholt has already filed a police report.
