Road closures due to fairground set-up work

Bocholt. From the middle of next week, Berliner Platz and the car park in front of the Mariengymnasium will be closed so that work can begin on setting up this year's Bocholt funfair.

The car park in front of the Mariengymnasium will be partially inaccessible from Tuesday 6 October, as set-up work for the Schumacher Stand XXL begins. The area will then be completely closed off on Friday 9 October from 2 pm.
The Schumacherstand XXL will host various funfair parties, live performances and the Volksbank Bocholt's senior citizens' afternoon.
Berliner Platz will be completely closed from 6.00 am on Thursday 8 October, as this is when the set-up of several large fairground rides will begin.
All the closures mentioned will be lifted on Wednesday 21 October around midday, once the fair's dismantling and cleaning work has been completed.
Fair manager Markus Kock has the following safety advice for all fair-goers: "Please ensure you keep a safe distance from vehicles manoeuvring, and give crane areas a wide berth. Parents should also keep a close eye on their children at all times whilst on the fairground during the set-up phase."
