Dieter Helbig celebrates 40 years of service

On 21 July 2026, Dieter Helbig will celebrate his 40th anniversary of service with the City of Bocholt.

His career with the city began in 1986 at the Social Welfare Office. He soon moved into the public order department, where he focused on civil protection, disaster management and civil defence. Over many years, he built up extensive specialist knowledge in this field and played a part in its further development. His time with the fire service and, later, in the buildings management department also broadened his experience, before he returned to the General Public Order department in 2006.

Today, Dieter Helbig is regarded as a recognised expert in disaster and civil protection. At the same time, he is a valued point of contact for matters relating to hospitality and commercial law. His many years of experience, his in-depth specialist knowledge and his calm, solution-oriented approach make him a reliable colleague and point of contact.
