"Bocholt liest!" presents the best holiday reads and current favourite books with "Lesenswert"

The popular team of experts from the library and book trade presents summer book highlights and personal reading favourites // Tuesday, 9 June 2026 at 7:30 pm, Bocholt City Library

On Tuesday, 9 June 2026, Bocholt City Library once again invites you to an atmospheric literary evening entitled "Lesenswert - Ferienlektüre und Lieblingsbücher". From 19:30, the three book experts Klaudia Kroesen, Jenny Bennemann and Laura Schneider will present inspiring new publications for the summer holidays as well as their very personal favourite books.

Registration is possible via the homepage and the adult education centre office as well as directly at the city library. There will also be a box office.

The event series "Bocholt liest!" combines literary enjoyment with special book-related encounters. Together with the Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg adult education centre, the Seitenblick bookshop and the Thalia bookshop in Bocholt, the city library regularly organises varied literary evenings in a relaxed atmosphere. With "Lesenswert - Ferienlektüre und Lieblingsbücher", the focus this time is on the 2026 summer of reading. Klaudia Kroesen from the city library, together with Jenny Bennemann from the Seitenblick bookshop and Laura Schneider from the Thalia bookshop, will be presenting current novels, exciting summer reads and special reading tips from various fiction genres.

Summer reading tips and inspiration for your holiday suitcase

"Just before the summer holidays, many wonderful novels are published that fit perfectly into the holiday suitcase or invite you to relax and read on the balcony or terrace. We are looking forward to sharing our personal highlights with our guests", explains Klaudia Kroesen from the city library. In addition to the latest new releases, the three experts will also provide insights into their personal favourite books, talk about special reading experiences and be available to answer guests' questions and make individual recommendations. All participants will also receive an overview of the titles presented as inspiration for their own summer reading list.

The event will take place on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, at Bocholt City Library. It starts at 19:30, admission is from 19:00. The evening is supported by the Association of Friends and Sponsors of the Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg Adult Education Centre.

Tickets are available in advance for 4 euros via vhs.bocholt.de, at the VHS office and in the city library. Tickets cost 5 euros at the box office.
