Painting and creating my own works have fascinated me since I was a child.

At the beginning of the 1990s, I began to explore painting more intensively as part of a watercolour course with Arno Tillmanns in Mönchengladbach.
In this course I learned basic watercolour techniques and for the first time consciously explored creative principles such as perspective, composition and colour effects.
Due to work commitments and bringing up children, she had to restrict her artistic activities at times, but painting remained an important part of her life.
During this phase, I mainly devoted myself to smaller works, especially children's paintings with animal motifs, which represented a playful and at the same time personal approach to art.
I received a decisive impulse for my artistic development in 2020 when I met Klaus Risse.
As a teacher and mentor, he had a lasting influence on my work and opened up new perspectives.
Since then, I have been working regularly with oil and acrylic paints, which has significantly expanded my creative spectrum.
My artistic style is deliberately versatile and combines different forms of expression. It includes impressionistic, abstract and naturalistic approaches, whereby surreal elements also flow into my work time and again. This stylistic openness allows me to combine different levels of perception and emotion.
Most of my motifs emerge from the depths of my thoughts. The starting point is often an inner image, a mood or an abstract idea that takes shape in the creative process. In visualising these inner impulses, I consciously set myself artistic challenges that promote my continuous development and expand my expressive possibilities.
