The city is looking for musicians for the "sinfonieBOHrchester"

The Bocholt-Isselburg Music School is inviting applications to join the new sinfonieBOHrchester. We are looking for advanced instrumentalists at A-level standard who enjoy making music together and would like to be part of a large symphonic orchestra project.

The project is aimed at young people and adults from Bocholt, Isselburg and the wider region - and specifically at former music school pupils and all enthusiastic amateur musicians.

Under the musical direction ofWitolf Werner, a varied concert programme is being put together, featuring works from the classical orchestral repertoire as well as film and popular music, such as"Danzón No. 2" by Arturo Márquez. The final selection of works will be made in close consultation with the conductor.

Through the sinfonieBOHrchester, the music school aims to bring together people who share a passion for orchestral music. The project offers the opportunity to rehearse challenging orchestral works, make new musical contacts, reconnect with former fellow musicians and stage a major concert together.

Rehearsal weekend: 19-21 February 2027

Concert weekend: 5-7 March 2027

Final concert on Sunday, 7 March 2027

Interested musicians can register now. Once all registrations have been received, the music school will organise the individual instrumental sections to ensure a balanced orchestral line-up.
