Further construction work on the Ostwall: No access from Augustastraße onto the Ring
Work on the 110 kV power line // Single-lane traffic management at the construction site
From Monday 9 November 2026, road users on Ostwall will once again have to prepare for restrictions. Stadtwerker GmbH is continuing to lay the new 110 kV power line there using the drilling method. To this end, two drilling pits will be created in the Im Bollwerk/Ostwall area and at the junction of Augustastraße and Ostwall. The work is expected to last until 20 November 2026.
Back in the summer, as part of the sewer construction project carried out by the Bocholt Waste Management and Services Company (ESB) on Ostwall, the pipework for the future 110-kV power line had already been laid. Work is now continuing on laying the power line using the drilling method.
For the duration of the works, it will not be possible to join the Ring from Augustastraße. A signposted diversion runs via Eintrachtstraße, Stenerner Weg and Nordstraße. On the Ring itself, traffic will be channelled in a single lane on the outer carriageway past the construction site.
The town of Bocholt asks all road users for their understanding regarding these restrictions and to follow the on-site signage.
