Exciting lecture on 4 February 2026 from 7.30 pm // Location: Bocholt Comprehensive School
On Wednesday, 4 February 2026, the Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg Adult Education Centre, together with Stadtsparkasse Bocholt and temmingmedia, will present the live multivision "BRETAGNE - Land in the Sea". Renowned travel journalist Hartmut Krinitz will whisk the audience away to the world of the French northwest from 7.30 pm in the auditorium of the municipal comprehensive school.
The city of Bocholt is continuing a long-standing tradition with this lecture evening: Hartmut Krinitz is known as an expert on the region and spent over a year researching for his new production. The documentary illuminates Brittany from different perspectives, with the photographer exploring the country from the water by sailing ship as well as from the air and on foot.
Krinitz takes his audience into a fascinating world full of history and scenic contrasts. Along dramatic cliffs, the wind sweeps across the land, while mysterious megaliths bear witness to a millennia-old past. Picturesque villages, important historical sites and the omnipresent sound of the Atlantic characterise this extraordinary region. At the proverbial "end of the world", in Finistère, the Breton coast is both wild and inviting. The lecture evening invites you to rediscover Brittany as a centrepiece of tradition, history and lived identity.
Interested citizens can purchase tickets in advance for 9 euros. Points of sale are the Bocholter-Borkener Volksblatt, the adult education centre office in the LernWerk and the branches in Rhede and Isselburg. Online bookings can also be made via the website vhs.bocholt.de . A box office will be set up for last-minute bookings, where tickets will be available for 10 euros.
