Volunteer Agency
The Bocholt Volunteer Agency is a service provided by the City of Bocholt through its Social Services Department. We promote, support and facilitate voluntary work, and are committed to ensuring it is recognised and valued.
We bring people who wish to get involved together with clubs, organisations and charitable institutions. In doing so, we work closely with local and wider regional partners.
Advice & Matching
Would you like to volunteer in Bocholt but aren't quite sure what would suit you? The Bocholt Volunteer Agency will be happy to offer you personalised advice, with no obligation. Together, we'll look at your interests and skills and see which of the many volunteering opportunities in Bocholt are a good fit. Our team of volunteers looks forward to welcoming you during opening hours. You're also welcome to arrange a consultation appointment by phone or email. Soon, you'll also be able to use our digital volunteering platform to search for opportunities or post your own from the comfort of your own home.
Promotion & Support
We strengthen volunteering in Bocholt through a range of initiatives and partnerships. These include, amongst others, the Volunteering Academy and the Clubs and Societies Fair.
Recognition & Appreciation
Volunteering deserves recognition. That is why we introduced the NRW Volunteer Card in Bocholt in 2013 and continue to champion a culture that values volunteering to this day. We also highlight the diverse range of voluntary work in Bocholt through our volunteer profiles: our volunteer editorial team showcases dedicated residents of Bocholt - as a sign of appreciation and as inspiration for anyone else who would like to get involved.
Networking
Networking is a key part of our work. We collaborate with numerous clubs, organisations and institutions within various networks. The 'Engagierte Stadt Bocholt' network plays a central role in developing new initiatives for the local volunteering scene. The Volunteer Agency is also a member of various supra-regional working groups.
Providing a space
The Volunteer Agency has a meeting room that can accommodate up to 12 people. Clubs are welcome to use this room free of charge for their own activities or team meetings, subject to prior arrangement. Please contact our volunteering coordinator, Francis Heitkötter, for further details.
