Extension of the framework agreement with a nationwide network
The town of Bocholt has extended its framework agreement with Zukunftsnetz Mobilität NRW, thereby continuing its membership, which has been in place since 2018. The network, which is supported by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, now counts more than 300 local authorities and districts among its members. The aim of this continued collaboration is to drive forward the development of sustainable mobility at a local level through strategic management and the exchange of experience across regions.
By extending the contract, the city council is ensuring that it will continue to have direct access to the network's range of advisory and support services in the years to come. The partnership enables Bocholt's specialist planners to engage in close and personal dialogue with the relevant local government advisers from the state initiative. By joining the network, the City of Bocholt reaffirms its commitment to using municipal mobility management as a key tool for sustainable transport planning.
Lisa Gottheil, the responsible local authority adviser at Zukunftsnetz Mobilität NRW, is delighted that the City of Bocholt remains a member of the network: "Our collaboration has developed very well over the past few years and together we have driven forward forward-looking mobility. We will continue along this path and support the town in the future with our experience and practical support services.""
Head of Urban Planning Dave Welling adds: "Extending the framework agreement is a logical step for our transport planning. For years, the network has provided us with valuable impetus and sound support in developing modern mobility concepts, from which the people of Bocholt benefit directly."
For the city administration, continuing its membership offers tangible practical benefits. Above all, the focus here is on knowledge transfer: Bocholt benefits from the practical examples set by other local authorities, from the border with Lower Saxony right through to the Rhineland, whilst at the same time contributing its own sound experience from successful local projects to the state-wide community.
