Secure parking spaces for bicycles

Where do I park my bike safely? How does booking a bike box work? And what advantages do the modern parking facilities in Bocholt offer? Answers to these questions will be available tomorrow, Tuesday, 16 September 2025, at the "Information Day Mobility" in the heart of Bocholt's city centre.

Between 9 a.m. and 12.30 p.m., experts from the city's Mobility and Environment Department, together with the integration company Büngern Technik, which operates the bike boxes, will present the various options for secure bicycle parking. Interested parties can take a look at the parking facility directly on Liebfrauenplatz and get a live explanation of how it works - from booking via the radbox.nrw app to on-site operation.

"Particularly those who are travelling with an e-bike or a high-quality bicycle want a protected place to park", explains Holger Frieling, project manager from the Mobility and Environment department at the city of Bocholt. "With the new facilities, we have created a convenient and cost-effective solution for this in Bocholt."

Bicycle parking facilities and bike boxes are available at a total of four locations - at the railway station, at the Bustreff, at Berliner Platz and at Liebfrauenplatz. A special bonus: the facilities at Liebfrauenplatz can be used free of charge until the end of the year.
