Dance festival at the end of the Health Days

On 12 June 2025, a dance festival took place in Langenbergpark as part of the second Bocholt Health Days. The dance centre and the INTAKT dance school demonstrated different dance styles, with around 90 visitors taking part.

Dance enthusiasts were delighted to have the opportunity to dance together with many other participants in the beautiful setting of Langenbergpark. "This is a great offer, I came all the way from Rees", said one participant. A couple who came for a taster session quickly agreed that after their first attempts at dancing several years ago "they would now start again together".

At the beginning of the festival, many took part in modern line dance and solo Latin dance. The younger target groups continued with video clip dancing and children's dance. Many young adults also took part in the hip-hop beats. Finally, the Bachata dance was South American and close together.

The city of Bocholt is delighted with the successful final event of the second Bocholt Health Days. Throughout the week, there was a wide range of health offers in the neighbourhood centres and other locations, which were also well attended and often fully booked. The offers ranged from information events on topics such as loneliness and sleep research to herbal walks, waffle workshops and laughter yoga.

The Health Days are intended to draw attention to the wide range of health promotion programmes on offer in Bocholt. Health promotion is considered an important part of the general quality of life and is therefore also promoted specifically in the neighbourhoods.
