Where to go after primary school? Hybrid parents' evening provides orientation

The transition from primary school to secondary school is an important step in a child's life - and is often associated with many questions for parents. In order to provide guidance, the Regional School Counselling Centre of the Borken district invites you to a hybrid parents' evening on Thursday, 6 November 2025. The event starts at 6.30 pm at LernWerk Bocholt, Industriestraße 1; participation is also possible online via the Zoom platform.

The event will focus on the question of how children can best learn, grow and develop confidence in their own abilities. In addition to information on the different types of school in North Rhine-Westphalia, the focus will be on factors that promote success at school and make the transition easier. The moderation team, consisting of school psychologist Philipp Deing and teacher Ullrich Regen, will provide practical insights and answer individual questions from participants.

The target group are carers in the Bocholt area whose children are transferring to a secondary school for the coming school year. Registration is required by 4 November - either for participation on site or online. Further information and the registration links can be found at www.rsb-borken.de.
