Section of the cycle and footpath on Industriestraße closed

A temporary partial closure has been put in place on Industriestraße, near number 3. The measure affects the footpath and cycle path, as well as the parking lane in that area. Cyclists are being diverted onto the carriageway and the speed limit in this area has been reduced to 30 km/h.

The Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations of the City of Bocholt ordered the immediate closure of the site after defects were identified during an inspection of the derelict building. The affected area was cordoned off by a contracted company and appropriately signposted.

As the building is privately owned, the city council will contact the owners to agree on the next steps. The owners are now obliged to take the necessary measures. Until then, the speed limit on Industriestraße will remain in force until further notice.
