Roadworks on Ostwall: Reminder of the ongoing closure of the through route "Im Bollwerk"

As part of the sewer works that began today, Monday, the city council would like to remind the public once again that the road "Im Bollwerk" is closed, including to pedestrians.

With the start of the extensive works being carried out by the Bocholt Waste Management and Services Company (ESB) and the municipal utilities at the junction of Ostwall and Weberstraße, the closure of the footpath from "Im Bollwerk%$ towards the town centre has also come into effect. As there were isolated attempts on the first day to walk through the barriers, the city council wishes to emphasise once again the associated risk of accidents due to deep excavation pits and heavy machinery. The closure of the road "Im Bollwerk" towards the ring road and the town centre is unavoidable for safety reasons for the duration of the works.

Unfortunately, this also affects the car park for the GP practice on Ostwall. The practice's main entrance is not affected by the excavation work and can be used as normal by pedestrians. However, as the passage through "Im Bollwerk" towards the Ring is closed, the practice's own car parks at the rear of the building are currently cut off from the practice building by foot. We recommend using the surrounding municipal car parks, such as those on Weberstraße.
