WIMBA: Children's musical group brings jungle adventures to Neutorplatz

The children's musical group from the Bocholt-Isselburg music school will be giving a musical foretaste of this year's musical project on 21 March on Neutorplatz in front of the Stadtsparkasse. There, the young performers will present excerpts from the musical "WIMBA - und das Geheimnis des Urwalds" by Gerhard A. Meyer, Ulrike Weiler and Gerhard Weiler. The performance starts at 11 am.

The musical tells the story of a young team of explorers who explore the mysterious jungle. When the four friends leave their camp and pass through a stalactite cave to a mysterious clearing, events come thick and fast: The mobile phone and compass stop working, a team member suddenly disappears and strange encounters with talking animals, plants and other mysterious creatures add to the suspense. Finally, when an eerie stone block announces a sacrificial feast, the situation seems threatening - but perhaps the magical veil elves can help.

With colourful characters, lots of humour and varied music from rock, pop, reggae and ska, the play transports the audience into an imaginative jungle world. The presentation on Neutorplatz offers the audience a first insight into the musical project of the young singers of the music school.

The music school cordially invites all interested parties to attend this small foretaste and experience the children in performance. Families with children in particular can look forward to an entertaining musical excursion into the jungle. "With our little taster on Saturday in front of the Stadtsparkasse, we want to arouse curiosity about our play and show what the children have rehearsed so far", says Luanda Schillings, musical director of the musical project.
