Music school children give a taster of the new musical

Saturday, 03 May, from 11 a.m. on Neutorplatz in the city centre

On Saturday, 3 May 2025, children from the Bocholt Isselburg musical group will present excerpts from their new musical entitled "Anouk and her journey to the sea" in public on Neutorplatz in Bocholt city centre, in front of the Stadtsparkasse. The performance starts at 11 am.

The children's musical group from the Bocholt Isselburg Music School will be performing excerpts from their new musical "Anouk and her journey to the sea" by Uwe Heynitz under the direction of music school teachers Luanda Schillings and Carolin Lehmann.

This beautiful, modern and visually stunning fairy tale for children, teenagers and adults who are young at heart tells the story of Anouk, a child who must find the sea in order to recover and save reality. It offers an almost endless wealth of strong images, striking characters, stunningly beautiful songs and plenty of food for thought and questioning.

Mobile phone mania, data octopuses and bullying form the backdrop to the story of the orphan Anouk, whose bones turn to glass and who must find the long-lost sea in order to recover and save the crumbling earth.

"With our small taster on Saturday in front of the Stadtsparkasse, we want to arouse curiosity about our play and show what the children have rehearsed so far", Luanda Schillings is looking forward to the performance.

The musical will be performed on 23, 24 and 25 May 2025 in the Euregiohalle in Bocholt. Admission costs 9 euros with free seating and tickets are on sale now.
