Kulturrucksack: Halloween Dance Lab - Creative dance workshop for young people

The "Halloween Dance Lab" dance workshop offers a spooky Halloween atmosphere, mysterious moves and plenty of dancing fun. Young people aged 10 to 14 can discover the world of creative dance there on Friday 30 October 2026, from 3 pm to 5 pm at the LernWerk, Industriestraße 1 in Bocholt. Participation is free of charge.

In keeping with the spirit of Halloween, this workshop invites participants to give free rein to their creativity through movement and to discover the mysterious atmosphere through dance. Under the professional guidance of dance teacher Anna Ritte, a variety of movement exercises tailored to the Halloween theme encourage participants to explore their own possibilities for movement and expression, to try out new movements and to experiment with them.

Step by step, they'll create their own short dance sequences. At the end, these will be combined into a group choreography. Through play, the young people will learn how space, time and dynamics influence the impact of a dance movement.

The workshop focuses on movement, expression and self-awareness - with no pressure to perform, but plenty of scope for creativity and the participants' own ideas.

As well as dancing, there is also a creative craft session during which the young people can design their own Halloween masks and matching accessories for the dance. This results in individual costumes, which are then incorporated into the dance ideas and create a very special Halloween atmosphere.

The workshop is aimed at young people aged 10 to 14 from Bocholt. No previous dance experience is required. Participation is free of charge. Registrations can be made by email to: kulturrucksack(at)bocholt(dot)de.

The event is part of the Kulturrucksack NRW programme. The programme enables children and young people to discover cultural activities, develop their own creative ideas and become artistically active themselves.
