Former members of the children's musical group perform the musical "The ghost flat share"

On 11 and 12 April, alumni of the Bocholt-Isselburg Music School's children's musical group will be performing the musical "The Ghost Flat - Trouble in the Magic Kitchen". Tickets are now available online.

The performances in the auditorium of St George's Grammar School will be imaginative, turbulent and musical. The audience can expect a funny and exciting story about a supernatural flat-sharing community: witch (Ella Bergmann), vampire (Jan-Henning Geerlings), elf (Emma Hofmann), monster (Milla Bläker) and night ghost (Henrike Hüls) live together peacefully - at least most of the time.

In addition to the normal challenges of living together, jinxed drinks, a broken magic ball and very mundane money worries cause plenty of trouble. But the real trouble is yet to come: the landlord, a powerful wizard, wants to evict the five unusual friends without further ado. His plan is to build a beauty shop for his daughter in the flat.

A race against time begins for the ghost flat-sharing community. Can they save their home? And what role do the human children, with whom the five of them make contact, play? With plenty of humour, catchy songs and a large portion of team spirit, the musical tells the story of friendship, solidarity and the courage to stand up for your own home.

Holiday project by alumni

The production is a special holiday project with former members of the music school's children's musical, aged between 16 and 30. Under the direction of Stefanie Bergmann, a teacher at the music school, they rehearse intensively during the Easter holidays in order to perform the piece at the end of the week.

The musical was written by the well-known children's musical author Gerhard Meyer. The arrangements were made by Bocholt musician Jannis Sicker. "The Ghost Flat" is a world première, and it is planned to publish the work afterwards with Fidula Verlag - similar to the successful play "Im Riff geht's rund" a few years ago.

Admission is from 16:30, the performance starts at 17:00 in the auditorium of the St.-Georg-Gymnasium on the 1st floor. Visitors can look forward to an entertaining afternoon for the whole family.
