Children's musical group presents "WIMBA": Performances in the coming week

Four performance dates from 24 to 26 April 2026 in the Euregiohalle // Tickets available online

This year, the 40-strong children's musical group from the Bocholt-Isselburg music school is bringing an exciting jungle adventure to the stage: "WIMBA - und das Geheimnis des Urwalds" by Gerhard A. Meyer, Ulrike Weiler and Gerhard Weiler. The choir club and the JeKits choir from the Maria Montessori School in Bocholt will be taking part again.

The colourful musical is suitable for children from the age of four and promises great entertainment for the whole family. A total of four performances will take place from 24 to 26 April in the Euregiohalle, tickets are available for 9 euros.

The children's musical group has been rehearsing weekly for almost a year under the direction of music school teachers Luanda Schillings and Carolin Lehmann. The children, aged between 5 and 16, express themselves through acting and singing, and dancing with trainers Anna Ritte and Elisabeth Bergmann is also part of the programme.

"In the jungle, you never really know what's fake and what's real" - This is the motto of a young team of explorers on a journey of discovery. Four friends leave their camp to explore the mysterious jungle on their own. Through a stalactite cave, they reach a clearing that could hardly be more beautiful and mysterious.

But the young adventurers soon find themselves in strange situations: The mobile phone and compass fail to work, a team member disappears without a trace and suddenly they encounter talking animals and plants. Can the enchanting veil elves help and unravel the mystery of the jungle?

With exotic, colourful images, original characters and plenty of wit, the musical transports its audience into a fantastic dream world. The music is also colourful: rock, pop, reggae and ska create a varied jungle sound that is immediately catchy.
