Volunteer Academy starts the first half of 2026 with a new programme
Twelve educational programmes for the first half of the year - online registration now open
Interested parties can now register for the free training courses and workshops offered by the Bocholt Volunteer Academy. The programme for the first half of 2026 includes twelve different courses to support civic engagement. The courses are aimed at both volunteers and full-time coordinators.
The Bocholt Volunteer Academy, which emerged from the city-wide network of "engagiertestadt Bocholt", puts together a biannual educational programme tailored to the current needs of volunteers. The new programme for the first half of 2026 can already be viewed in full on the website www.wir-fuer-bocholt.de.
The range of the twelve programmes is broad and covers various professional and social areas. The portfolio includes a qualification for neighbourhood help, basic training for reading mentors and training to become an ADFC cycling trainer. Specialist training courses on dementia, autism and a prevention course on abuse of power and sexualised violence are also an integral part of the plan.

A strong cooperative community has been behind this comprehensive educational programme since 2017. This association consists of the adult education centre, the family education centre, the Leben im Alter association, the Caritas association for the Bocholt deanery, the jusina association, the integration office of the city of Bocholt and the Bocholt volunteer agency. The offers are free of charge for participants and are open not only to volunteers but also to full-time employees who are responsible for coordinating volunteers in their organisations.

The Volunteer Academy is part of the programme coordinated centrally by the Bocholt Volunteer Agency. The aim is to strengthen voluntary work in Bocholt. The shop of the volunteer agency at Langenbergstraße 18 is open Tuesdays to Fridays from 9.30 am to 12 noon and Thursdays from 2 pm to 5 pm.
