Training for voluntary legal guardians, authorised representatives and anyone interested

As part of the training programme "Well Trained - Well Represented", a free training session for volunteer legal guardians, authorised representatives and anyone interested will take place on 16 September 2026.
Ms Gabriele Theling, a member of staff at the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO) support association and a legal guardian herself, will be giving a talk this evening on the subject of social security benefits.
Social insurance schemes such as pension, health and long-term care insurance, as well as social assistance benefits such as basic income support, housing benefit, care allowance, care housing allowance and participation benefits, will be covered during the evening. The session will explain how and where to apply for these benefits, what the eligibility criteria are, and what other factors need to be taken into account. Ms Theling will also answer individual questions during the evening.
The event is a joint initiative organised by the Working Group for Guardianship Services (the City of Bocholt's Guardianship Authority, the guardianship associations of SkF Bocholt and AWO Bocholt) in the City of Bocholt and is being run by the AWO guardianship association.
