Second edition of the association fair on 27 September 2026 in the Shopping Arcades // Digital registration phase for associations and initiatives from 4 May
Following the successful premiere in 2024, the city of Bocholt is organising the second Bocholt Association Fair in the Shopping Arcades on 27 September 2026. The event offers local organisations, associations and initiatives an eye-catching platform to present their work and attract new volunteers. Digital registration for the 70 or so stand spaces begins on 4 May.
The volunteer agency of the city of Bocholt organises the fair in proven cooperation with the shopping arcades. The event will once again be integrated into the "Bokeltsen Treff" day of action. After the great response and positive feedback from participants and visitors at the first edition, the city administration is experiencing continued high demand from local associations and initiatives. The main aim of the fair is to make the enormous diversity of voluntary work in Bocholt visible and to offer the groups a central platform for recruiting members.
"Our aim is to bring citizens into direct contact with the diverse initiatives in the centre of city life", explains Francis Heitkötter, Volunteer Coordinator at the city. "A strong volunteer organisation always needs new faces and fresh ideas."
As the exhibition space in the arcades is limited, the city announces the registration phase well in advance. This will give interested organisations enough time for internal coordination. The official registration period runs from 4 May to 8 June. Registration is only possible digitally via the Anny booking portal. The corresponding link will be activated on the wir-fuer-bocholt.de website in time for the start. The 70 or so places available will be allocated in the order in which registrations are received. As the quota is likely to be exhausted quickly, places may be fully booked before the official deadline.
To ensure smooth planning, clubs must provide the contact details of a contact person who will be on site on the day of the fair when booking. In addition, voluntary information can be provided, such as links to websites or social media presences for the city's advance advertising. Planned hands-on activities at the stand can also be outlined there. Associations that require one of the few outdoor stand spaces for vehicles should note this with a brief explanation when registering. The city council will provide each participating association with a stand-up table and a stool, and the centre management of the Shopping Arcades will once again literally roll out the red carpet for volunteers.
Further details on the exact programme, the participating initiatives and special activities will be announced by the city administration in good time before the event. If you have any questions about the registration process and the association fair, please contact the volunteer coordinator Francis Heitkötter by telephone on 02871 9532346 or by email at ehrenamt(at)bocholt(dot)de.
