Bocholt Club Fair: High demand for stand spaces
Fair on Sunday, 27 September // 72 stalls for clubs
Preparations for this year's clubs' fair in September are entering their final phase: 65 out of 72 stand spaces have already been allocated, meaning the majority of spaces are now booked. Clubs and organisations wishing to showcase themselves can still register for the few remaining spaces.
The Bocholt City Volunteer Agency is organising the fair in its long-standing partnership with the Bocholt Shopping Arcades to provide a prominent platform for voluntary work in the city.
On Sunday 27 September, the Shopping-Arkaden will become a meeting place for committed volunteers and interested members of the public from 1 pm to 6 pm. Alongside the wide range of information stands run by the participating clubs and organisations, visitors can look forward to a varied programme of stage performances in the outdoor area.
"The 'Bokeltsen Treff' shopping event will also take place on this day, with several thousand visitors expected in Bocholt", says Bocholt's Deputy Mayor Björn Volmering. ""This is an excellent opportunity for our clubs to introduce themselves and their volunteers, and to recruit new members," says Volmering.
The clubs' fair showcases the wide range of local community involvement. For clubs, this offers the ideal opportunity to present their work to a large audience, make new contacts and promote their own activities. Visitors can find out more on the spot, strike up conversations and discover a variety of ways to get involved themselves.
The municipal initiative is supported by Stadtsparkasse Bocholt, Volksbank Bocholt eG and the Shopping-Arkaden. Any interested organisations wishing to take part can contact the Volunteer Agency by email at ehrenamt(at)bocholt(dot)de or by telephone on 02871 953-2346. An overview of all groups that have already registered is available on the city's website at www.bocholt.de/vereinsmesse.
