Around 70 clubs will be showcasing themselves at the second Bocholt Club Fair on Sunday

On Sunday 27 September, the Bocholt Shopping Arcades and the adjacent Neutorplatz will be transformed into a vibrant showcase for local voluntary work. A total of 68 clubs and organisations will be presenting their work and a range of hands-on activities at the second Bocholt Clubs Fair. A varied programme of events, along with activities for children and adults, will round off the day's festivities.

With the second edition of the clubs and societies fair, the town of Bocholt is offering the town's many active communities a platform to showcase themselves to the general public. A total of 64 clubs and societies are welcoming visitors across two floors of the Shopping-Arkaden. Other organisations are exhibiting in the outdoor area, whilst the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) and the Volunteer Fire Brigade are on site at Neutorplatz in front of the Stadtsparkasse with their emergency vehicles.

""Bocholt's community life is at the heart of our social life,"" says Bocholt's Deputy Mayor, Björn Vomering. "We warmly invite all residents to come and experience this diversity for themselves at our club fair and perhaps even be inspired to take up a voluntary role", says Vomering.

There is a new feature this year in the form of the 'Games Paradise'. There, jusina e.V. and the Montessori Verein Bocholt e.V. will be presenting hands-on activities and games for children, whilst offering parents and anyone else interested an insight into their educational work.

The Bocholt tenor Winni Biermann will set the mood from 12.45 pm, getting the audience in the right spirit for the day's events by performing the Bocholt anthem on stage. At 1 pm, Deputy Mayor Gudrun Koppers will officially open the fair. 

This will be followed, from 1.15 pm, by a varied programme of stage performances, including guard dancing, theatre, choral singing and drumming.
