Registrations for the 2026/2027 kindergarten year are underway

The registration process for the 2026/2027 kindergarten year has begun at Bocholt's daycare centres. Parents who need a childcare place for their child from 1 August 2026 have until 20 November 2025 to pre-register their child online in the "Kita-Portal Bocholt". There is a total of 40 daycare centres to choose from in Bocholt.

In addition to childcare centres, parents can also register their children for daycare in the portal. After successfully registering online, it is essential to contact the desired facilities directly by 20 November 2025 at the latest. Only children who are also on the waiting lists of the daycare centres can be considered when allocating places. Parents can view the current status at any time via the "Prebookings" tab in the daycare centre portal user account.

At the end of November, the city of Bocholt compares the registrations received with the available capacities. From January 2026, the daycare centres will inform parents directly about the allocation of places.

The city would like to point out that the parental contributions will be adjusted to the update rate published by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia on 1 August of each daycare year in accordance with the dynamised parental contribution statutes. However, the income groups in the contribution table are only increased every three years - most recently on 1 August 2025. The final contribution table for the new kindergarten year will be published after the state-wide update rate has been announced.
