Bocholt takes part in nationwide campaign week for child day care
Child day care in the spotlight // Experience, inform, participate
As part of the nationwide campaign week for child day care, child day care providers are organising two special events for families and citizens with the support of the city of Bocholt at the beginning of May. A joint cycle tour and a varied day of action will offer insights into this important childcare service. The organisers cordially invite all interested parties to take part and exchange ideas.
As part of the nationwide campaign week for child day care from 4 to 10 May, Bocholt is highlighting the importance of this flexible childcare service. "The two events in the city area are intended to draw attention to the valuable work of childminders for the childcare landscape in Bocholt", says Bocholt's First City Councillor Björn Volmering.
The event will kick off on Tuesday, 5 May, with a colourful bike tour for the little ones. The ride starts at 9.30 a.m. on Neutorplatz in front of Stadtsparkasse Bocholt (at the sandpit) and leads via Neustraße and the historic town hall, along the River Aa and through the Kubaai area, ending at around 10.15 a.m. at the Aasee playground, where participants can spend time together.
Action day on Thursday
Another highlight is the information and action day on Thursday, 7 May, which will also take place at Neutorplatz. From 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the organisers invite you to an open daycare meeting, which offers space for encounters and expert discussions. This will be followed by a programme for interested families in the afternoon from 3 pm to 6 pm.
In addition to comprehensive information about the day care model, there will be various hands-on stations for children to play and discover. The aim is to build on the success of the previous year. Parents will have the opportunity to find out about the individual support available in child day care in an informal atmosphere.
