Trainers wanted for educational programmes on European politics

Trainer training course from 27 to 29 November 2026 in Bonn // Call for applications from the State Agency for Political Education of North Rhine-Westphalia // Applications accepted until 31 October 2026

The State Agency for Political Education (LpB) in North Rhine-Westphalia is looking for committed young people who would like to work as trainers in the future, delivering educational programmes on European politics to school pupils in North Rhine-Westphalia in return for a fee. Pupils from schools in Bocholt and Borken have already benefited from these educational programmes run by the LpB, which were organised through EUROPE DIRECT Bocholt.

This call is aimed in particular at young people aged between 18 and 30 from North Rhine-Westphalia who are interested in Europe, political education and working with young people. Some experience in education or youth work, as well as knowledge of Europe and the European Union, is desirable but not essential.

The three-day trainer training course will take place from 27 November to 29 November 2026 at the Gustav Stresemann Institute in Bonn. Participants will familiarise themselves with the European policy programmes, methods and materials offered by the State Agency for Political Education of North Rhine-Westphalia (LpB) and will be prepared for their future role as trainers. In particular, the young adults will explore the content of the workshops "My Europe and Me" and "Europoly", as well as the simulation game "SOS Europe", and will be provided with methods for delivering these programmes.

Upon successful completion of the training, the trainers can work for the State Agency for Political Education in North Rhine-Westphalia in return for a fee.
