Free AI course in simple language

A free workshop on 12 June 2026 will teach the basics of dealing with artificial intelligence (AI). The content will be presented in an easy-to-understand way and is aimed at people who do not yet speak German confidently.

Many people now encounter artificial intelligence in their everyday lives - for example through applications such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot. The programmes provide support with writing, translating or searching for ideas for texts and excursions, among other things.

A new VHS course now teaches the basics of working with AI in easy-to-understand language. The focus is on working with texts. Participants will learn how to use AI sensibly, how to formulate good questions and how the systems can better understand enquiries.

The course is aimed in particular at people who do not yet speak German fluently or are not native speakers. No previous knowledge is required. Numerous practical exercises give participants the opportunity to try out the applications for themselves without time pressure.

Interested parties are invited to familiarise themselves with the possibilities of artificial intelligence and gain their own experience with the digital tools.

The event is organised by EUROPE DIRECT Bocholt, VHS Bocholt and Deutsch-Türkische Gesellschaft Bocholt e.V. and is free of charge. The VHS accepts registrations at vhs.bocholt.de/kurssuche/kurs/BV4700. The course takes place at LernWerk (Industriestr. 1, 46395 Bocholt), room 3.02.
