VHS day trips for gardening fans

On Saturday 30 May and Friday 5 June, the VHS is offering two garden trips to selected beautiful gardens in southern Münsterland and the Netherlands respectively. The participation fee is 59 € each. There are still places available on both bus trips. When the roses are in full bloom and lovingly planted perennial gardens unfold their full splendour, it is the best time for inspiring discoveries. Two day trips organised by the VHS offer the opportunity to do just that, with places still available. On Saturday 30 May, the excursion entitled "The Paus Gardens" will take you to three romantic country house gardens in southern Münsterland. Each garden tells its own story - characterised by a personal signature, established structures and a keen sense for plants and original design. It is hardly surprising that all the owners are related to each other: green fingers really do seem to run in the family here. The tour guide, Dr Susanne Paus, invites you to her garden in the east of Bocholt to celebrate 25 years of VHS garden tours.

On Friday 5 June, the tour crosses the border to "tuinen kijken" in the Netherlands. In the province of Brabant, an imaginative artist's garden full of surprises, a lovingly designed indoor garden and a country house garden with an incredible amount of boxwood in all imaginable shapes and varieties will open their doors especially for the tour group and invite you to marvel and enjoy.
