As the Second World War swept across Central Europe, many Jews fleeing Hitler's persecution sought refuge far away. Some of them hoped for a new beginning in Finland.Â
This cinematic drama tells the story, based on true events, of the Jewish businessman Abraham Stiller, who offered protection to Jewish refugees in Finland during the Second World War. When Finland collaborated with Nazi Germany and the refugees faced the threat of extradition, Stiller did everything in his power to prevent their deportation.
The film is about humanity, moral courage and the courage to stand up for others despite political and personal dangers.
The film runs for 85 minutes. It was directed by Klaus Härö.
