The special film "La Scala - The power of destiny"

On 10 February, the city of Bocholt will present the documentary "La scala - The power of destiny" as part of the series "The special film". The film is a tribute to the hidden and all too often overlooked work that a superlative opera festival entails. The film offers a glimpse behind the scenes of the legendary La Scala in Milan.

La Scala in Milan is one of the most renowned and important opera houses in the world. This captivating documentary shows the development of La Scala since its opening in 1931, offering a glimpse behind the scenes and following the artists in their gruelling work - from directing and conducting to dancing and singing. The film shows the spectacular work of the performers at La Scala in Milan, where everyone works with absolute passion towards the premiere.

About the special film campaign

The film series "KINO Bocholt - the special film" has existed since 1977 as a cooperation between the Department of Education and Culture of the City of Bocholt and Kinodrom Bocholt. The aim is to make unusual films that are not otherwise shown in the regular programme accessible to a wide audience. As a rule, selected productions are shown every second and fourth Tuesday of the month. Admission is 7 euros.
