Lecture on "Japan unknown beauty": Fascinating insights into culture and landscape

27 November at 19:30 at the Bocholt Media Centre // Travel impressions from 2024 with photos from several regions of Japan

Travel impressions from Japan will be the focus of a lecture at the adult education centre on Thursday, 27 November 2025. Speaker Regina Remest will take participants on a tour through impressive landscapes and lively cities. The lecture starts at 19:30 in the media centre on Hindenburgstraße.

The Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg Adult Education Centre invites you to an evening that offers insights into a country that is still considered distant and unknown to many people. The speaker, Regina Remest, will present impressions of her several-week trip to Japan in 2024, describing personal experiences and observations.

Using numerous photos, she takes us through the metropolis of Tokyo, over the shrouded Mount Fuji and on to Nagano, Takayama, Himeji, Hiroshima, Kyoto and Osaka. The pictures show sights, everyday moments and special features that gave the journey its special character. The lecture is intended as an introduction to a country with a rich history, diverse culture and impressive nature, about which there is far more to tell than is possible in one evening.

The fee is 6 euros, concessions 5.50 euros. Registration via www.vhs-bocholt.de already includes a seat reservation. Remaining places will be allocated at the box office.
