Infinite cosmos? Lecture at the VHS Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg

The Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg Adult Education Centre is offering a fascinating lecture on the last secrets of the universe on Wednesday, 5 November at 19:30 in the Media Centre, Hindenburgstraße 5. Under the title "Infinite Cosmos? - Death from the perspective of a physicist", Dr Philipp Heimann will take participants on an exciting journey through the world of astronomy.

The evening will focus on questions about the end of the universe, the sun and the earth. Heimann explains which physical principles and laws of nature play a role in this - from thermodynamics to the processes of star death. In doing so, he succeeds in combining scientific depth with a generally understandable presentation that inspires amazement and reflection.

Dr Philipp Heimann holds a doctorate in physics and is a full-time software developer. In his popular science lectures, he succeeds in conveying physics, which is often perceived as dry, in a lively and tangible way. He is particularly fond of astrophysics - for him, it is the gateway to the greatest questions of mankind.
