Experience Bocholt with all your senses

From poisoned wells and nocturnal murders to a siege that wasn't a siege at all: if you come to the Seitenblick bookshop at Crispinusplatz 28 on Tuesday, 7 October 2025 at 3 pm, you will embark on an exciting journey to the year 1665 with the Bocholt night watchman - a tour that appeals to all the senses.

"Listen, people, and let me tell you..." - with these words, Bocholt night watchman Florian Sauret opens his tour. Together with his maid Maleen Lütfring, he takes guests back to centuries past. Along the way, the two of them talk about life in a city full of stories and secrets.

The tour is aimed specifically at visually impaired and blind people. Vivid narratives, tactile elements and accessible routes make it possible to experience the city's history. Volunteers working in this field are also invited to familiarise themselves with the offer.

The event is organised in cooperation between the Bocholt/Borken Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired in BSV Westfalen e.V., the Bocholt Tourist Information Office and the Bocholt Volunteer Academy.
