Start of the academic term: JUNGE UNI's new programme in Bocholt offers tried-and-tested classics and exciting new additions

From 7 September 2026, the new winter semester programme will be available on the JUNGE UNI in Bocholt (JUBoh) website; registration opens on 10 September at around 8 am. By deliberately separating the publication of the programme from the start of registration, families are given time to explore the diverse range of courses together. From tried-and-tested classics to exciting new workshops and an excursion to the Neanderthal Museum, there is plenty to discover.

JUBoh's new programme for the 2026 winter term is about to be launched: from 7 September 2026, families will be able to browse the full range of courses on the website. Registration opens on 10 September 2026 at approximately 8.00 am.

By spacing out the programme release and the start of registration, families are given the opportunity to look through the programme together at their leisure and decide which courses are best suited to their children. This is intended to give all interested parties an equal chance to select their preferred courses.

The winter term once again combines popular classics with lots of new ideas. Tried-and-tested activities, such as a visit to Anholter Schweiz or learning programming languages, feature in the programme alongside creative and science-based new additions. Among other things, children can create art using plaster, embark on a journey through physics or develop their own universal educational game.

A particular highlight of the term is the major excursion to the Neanderthal Museum in Mettmann. In addition to visiting the museum, participants can look forward to an exciting workshop on forensic biology, where they can experience scientific work in a practical setting.

Behind the scenes, too, the programme has been further developed: the registration process has been revised and simplified to make access to the courses even more convenient and user-friendly for families.

Perhaps this will even spark a passion that stays with them for a long time to come. It is important to us to create learning environments that inspire, motivate and enable children to think outside the box. At the same time, we are delighted that the new registration process makes it even easier for families to access our programmes", says Jennifer Engels, Head of JUBoh.

In addition, Business Unit Manager Isabel Testroet points out: "Even if a course is fully booked at first, it's worth signing up for the waiting list. Time and again, due to high demand, we are able to set up additional catch-up courses or allocate places. We therefore recommend that anyone interested registers, even without a direct guarantee of a place.""

With its mix of creativity, maths, computer science, natural sciences, technology and exciting excursions, the 2026 winter term offers a wide range of opportunities for children and young people to discover their talents, gain new experiences and enjoy learning.
