This is how the study programme works

The degree programme in Administrative Informatics enables students to design Administration 4.0 and to provide professional support for official processes in the context of digitalisation. For this purpose, basic specialist knowledge, methodological skills and key qualifications are taught. The university of applied sciences degree programme at the University of Applied Sciences for Police and Administration in Münster provides academic training. The following topics, among others, are covered in several study sections :

  • Basics of computer science
  • IT application development
  • IT management
  • Law
  • Administrative sciences
  • Economics
  • Social sciences

During the degree programme, each module ends with an examination. There are different forms of examinations such as the written exam, the professional discussion, programming or the term paper. At the end of the programme is the Bachelor's thesis, including a new colloquium.

The preparatory service ends with the Bachelor's thesis. After passing the examination, you receive the academic degree "Bachelor of Arts".

Possible areas of employment after graduation

After successfully completing your studies, you will be employed by the city of Bocholt in areas related to IT, digital or digital transformation.
