SAFI is loud. Intense. A raw, unsettling yet magical state of emergency. Ambivalence and inner conflict are the starting point; the combined virtuosity of a four-and-a-half-octave vocal range and a degree in the arts form the foundation, never an end in itself. SAFI reveals its true nature with unadorned directness, pure and grand. Enveloped by a massive wall of sound. A cacophony.

SAFI's words, sharp-edged and clear, are shards of reality hurled into sonic structures. "The moment that gets stuck between your nerves." Poetry and the raw, unyielding quality of her voice define Safi's watchful perspective on things - political, sombre, real. Song structures forge new paths and morph into walls of sound created by the three-piece band, comprising two guitars, drums and electronics. SAFI's voice is SAFI. The pinnacle of her musical expression. She does not peddle ideologies, but offers her audience concentrated food for thought. The content is uncompromising, demanding and deeply moving. In doing so, she gains access to artistic perspectives beyond the usual peripheries found in this context. When profit-driven motives destabilise the world order, democratic processes are called into question, enemy stereotypes replace solutions, and racism further divides our society, it must be the role of art to give voice to the voiceless, to inspire courage; it must act as a mirror and stir the conscience. "Are you scared, then?", spits the track "Adrenalin (feat. Rummelsnuff)" in the face of the truncheon-wielding crowd, exposing hate-mongering as fear.

SAFI's third studio album was produced by Berlin-based sound creator Moses Schneider (Tocotronic, Ätna, and many more). "Natural vocal distortion - cool shit!" It's all about pure energy. The tracks were played, sung and recorded live at Hansa Studios Berlin. With a love of noise that breaks free from conventional sonic conventions, the album's potential was realised without cymbals, without fixed patterns and without contrived structures. Instead, using prepared instruments and a sheet of metal provided by the artist: guests of the 'Krachgemeinschaft' include Dennis Lyxzén (Refused), Sebastian Madsen (Madsen) and Rummelsnuff.
